This app is no longer supported by the app creator. There is an outstanding bug that will not be corrected and it will not be ported to Node.js. It is heavily recommended to use alternatives like Subflow or Flow Links. The app will continue to work for users that are currently using it.

Portals allows you to route jobs within Switch, without a direct connector. You can use this to better structure flows for readability, prevent crossing connectors and duplicate logic, and easily pass jobs between flows. Portals also makes sharing bundled flows much easier, as you don't need to relocate non-automanaged folders every time you import a flow on a new system. This bundle contains two apps: an incoming and an outgoing portal. Portals are multiplexed by channels (which you select in the script) so you can have multiple sets of portals within a single flow.

I am a new switch user and this was the first app I installed, works great for moving files from flow to flow.

With the new user-friendly "Private metadata" and portal, we could manage API with callback function.

Really handy app. Perfect for 'cleaning up' flows and allowing file transition between subflows without having a library of interconnecting backing folders. It's important to remain disciplined when naming and structuring each set of in/out portals - but used properly this app is a worthy addition to the flow elements library.
Giving the app four stars, because one small improvement would be handy - the addition (by default) of text in the 'Description' field within Properties to something like 'Portals'. This would make the flow search function locate all instances of Portals in all flows - useful for tracking down and locating where they've been used across flows.
