Fiery Pilot allows Switch users to send print jobs and its output configuration to any digital output device driven by a Fiery digital print server with FS150 or later system software.

As a Fiery DFE user, you can automate the output process of your print jobs to your Fiery DFE 100%.
Define all the print options that you previously had to define in Fiery Command WorkStation in your switch flows. Use XML/JDF, JSON or other metadata formats to dynamically define print settings such as

  • job title,
  • number of copies to be printed,
  • paper or paper tray,
  • page range to be printed,
  • scheduled output time,
  • etc.

for each print job.

Print jobs are transferred to one of your Fiery output queues in a matter of seconds and processed according to the assigned settings.

Compatibility
Switch Version Required:2022 Fall or higher
Platform:Windows, Mac
3rd Party Compatibility:Fiery Pilot is compatible with Fiery digital print servers with FS150 or later system software. The app has a built-in Fiery API evaluation key which makes the API usable for 30 days without activating a license on the Fiery server. To use Fiery Pilot for more than 30 days, you must apply for a Fiery Pilot license at Fiery API license request. Once you receive your Fiery API license, you can activate it directly on your Fiery server.  To use an existing Fiery API production key with a Fiery API license already activated on your Fiery server, you can enter your production key in the Fiery Pilot app property named API key.
