About Wait For Asset

Hold a job in a flow until a path for a file or folder has been found. If the timeout has been reached, the incoming job will be moved down the error traffic light path. There is also the capability of injecting the asset found, and/or attaching a dataset of the asset found when conditions are met.

If there is functionality you believe is missing, or have an idea on how to expand the current functionality, please reach out to us by sending us an email with the subject prefix “Wait For Asset Functionality”.

Simplied our process of jobs waiting while some files are processed on by a lot.
Replaced a whole extra 'frankenstein" flow with a few simple modules.

Excellent addition to the Switch apps. Wait for Asset gives good control when a flow needs to find a file for processing without using a static delay.

Great little app this one. Before this we had to create a loop of Inject lite to assert the asset exists, which on fail would move the job / trigger to another folder, followed by a hold job by a fixed amount of time (say 3-5secs) after which time naturally the job would be realeased and kept going in that loop. Nothing big, but all the data moving from folder to folder is a save operation on the drive and in the Flash/NVMe era - this causes extra wear on the drive. With one or two jobs - this is neglegible. But with 3-5K files processed daily across various flows - such wear would be noticable. So this app seems to be solving this issue and in fact gets a neater solution giving the same result.
