PDFPrint will print a PDF file to a local or remote printer via the Windows print queue. Any printer installed on the Switch server can be used including non-PS/PDF printers. All pages or just a range of pages can be printed. Other options include selecting paper size and media type, duplexing and number of copies.
In short – it works. But with xerox 550 printer I had a problem with printing to correct tray. I wanted it to print from manual feed, but got tray2. Is it problem with this app or is it shity xerox drivers – I dont know.
PDFPrinter app allowed us to print directly to an in office printer that does not support hot folders. Also a great backup for when our production printer goes offline for maintenance.
This app works perfect! It is super simple to set up and has been reliable for me over the last two months and hundreds of prints. I use it for a few different flows and different printers. It great to have it work with my sheet printers and label prints the same. Good stuff!
