About School Aid

"Our goal is to support children in Uganda and Kenya who have lost their parents through AIDS to go to school. We keep it small, and choose a good, individual coaching for each student, a rigorous financial monitoring and minimizing administrative costs.

The children for whom school Aid pays the studies locally are supervised by contacts urging them to finish their school cycle and keep us informed of the results of each school child. School Aid finances the entire course. Contact person and student together determine the course of study they want to follow. Some end up with vocational training, others are now studying at university.

The project started in 1999 as a private initiative with two contacts and five children in Kenya. In 2001 we started the association School Aid. Now we sponsor about 25 students in Kenya and Uganda, accompanied by six contacts that we know personally. We regularly receive new applications for children who cannot continue their studies without our help. Thanks to your gift we can give them a chance."
